Qualifications:

  • A doctorate in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field is required. Additional expertise in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Science highly desirable. Those with a master’s degree and appropriate experience in the above fields may also be considered.

  • The individual should be completely committed to helping prepare students to serve in their families, communities, and the Church throughout the world, with a particular emphasis on Oceania and the Asian Rim region. Responsibilities:

  • Teach approximately 30 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in some (but not all) of the following subject areas:

Mathematics, Applications in Engineering and Architecture, Construction Science.

  • Assist in the development of an applied curriculum involving Mathematics and Construction Science.
  • Scholarship, creative endeavor, ongoing professional development, and university service are required.
  • BYU-Hawaii’s primary focus is undergraduate learning and teaching. The individual should be fully committed to student learning. (https://clt.byuh.edu/framework-for-learning)
