The Blackstone Charitable Foundation, created in 2007, plays an integral role in The Blackstone Group Inc.’s effort to support the communities in which it works and lives. The Foundation’s mission is to invest Blackstone’s philanthropic and human capital in targeted regions to expand opportunity and support economic development. As part of this mission, Blackstone is providing a grant to create a Blackstone LaunchPad (BLP) program at the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship (JMC) at Florida State University and add it to its network of 46 schools across the United States and Ireland.

BLP is accessible to over 1,000,000 college students per year and is designed to complement existing on-campus entrepreneurship resources, catalyze student ventures through off-campus connections, and convene students and staff at world-class events leveraging Blackstone’s industry-leading mentors, networks, and brands.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the program coordination of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship Blackstone Launchpad Program. This includes strategy planning with Student Engagement team, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and success. This position meets with all BLP students on a regular basis and tracks their progress. Through BLP, this position helps recruit members for JMC RSOs and then develop programming for the RSOs, as well.

Assists with marketing, social media, press releases, and email blasts. Coordinates events and competitions, to include meeting with vendors, using the FSU Contracts Module, processing invoices, etc. Assists the Student Engagement Manager with travel, disbursements, scheduling, and other administrative duties, and implements and manages the mentoring software platform.

Maintains relationships with FSU Sponsored Research, FSU Research Foundation, and JMC Administrative team. Responsible for working within the RAMP system, implementing metric tracking systems and schedules for reporting, coordinating data collection for annual reports for grants, donors, Princeton Review, etc. This position will also work with JMC Student Engagement and JMC Development team to help strategize the procurement of further grants and donations for the success of the Blackstone program.

Note: This is not a remote position.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Soft Money Funded Position

This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
