The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to install, maintain and repair building plumbing and sanitary waste systems, building heating and ventilating systems, underground water and steam distribution lines, and sewer mains.
Position works at the journeyman level of standard plumbing procedures and practices. Skilled in the use of wide variety of tools and equipment associated with the trade. Ability to exercise independence in performance of routine work. Ability to maintain effective working relations with other employees, departments and general public. Ability to assume responsibility as lead worker in the performance of duties. Three (3) years progressive experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of building plumbing and sanitary waste systems, building heating and ventilation systems, underground water and steam systems, and sewer mains. Valid North Carolina Drivers LicenseMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.Anticipated Hiring Range:
Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
