POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS (2) IN CONDENSED MATTER THEORY
Postdoctoral positions in Condensed Matter Theory are available in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in the group of Professors Elbio Dagotto and Adriana Moreo.
Areas of interest are high critical temperature superconductors, spin liquids, topological systems, mixing spin-orbit coupling and correlation effects, quasi one-dimensional chains and ladders, oxide interfaces, bulk complex oxides, skyrmions, Majoranas, strong correlation combined with topology, multiferroic materials, and several others.
We are primarily interested in candidates with knowledge in computational many-body techniques, particularly Density Matrix Renormalization Group (both static and time/omega dependent, Lanczos/Exact Diagonalization, Monte Carlo simulations in its many variations, mean-field and variational approximations, and others. But many-body expertise of any kind will also be seriously considered.

The main location for this work will be at the University of Tennessee. However, our group has a close connection with Oak Ridge National Laboratory where part of the postdoctoral effort could be performed.
