General Description:

Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Director of Operations executes all operational matters relating to the softball program, the student athletes and the coaching staff. The Director of softball Operations will assist the Head Coach in monitoring the budget for the softball program. Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, SEC, and Title IX. This position will handle daily operating functions within the program, oversee all within the program, coordinate, market and administer summer camps, assist on campus recruiting events, manage team gear and apparel purchasing orders, serve as a point of contact for facilities and event management, and fulfill procurement card holder policy and procedures. Additionally, will be responsible for organizing, budgeting, and coordinating team travel, scheduling and contracts.  This position will also serve as liaison for all fundraising related to softball, coordinate efforts with UT softball Alumni and work thoroughly with all other institutional departments.



Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of team travel to include planning, transportation, meals, itineraries and expenses.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the softball budget.
  • Oversight of all UT Softball Camps.
  • Game schedules and contracts.
  • Manage and organize TEAMWORKS calendar.
  • Supervise office workers and team managers.
  • Liaison for alumni relations, donors, compliance, event management and other institutional departments.
  • Manage team gear and apparel orders.
  • Fulfill procurement card holder responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree is preferred.

Experience:    

Previous athletic administrative, coaching, or playing experience is required. NCAA administrative experience and/or playing or coaching experience is preferred.

Skills:   

    Knowledge the most current NCAA rules and regulations.Abilities to multi-task and coordinate efforts in high stress situations.Skill of organization is a must.
