Adjunct Faculty-Graduate Nursing POSITION SUMMARY:
Adjunct Faculty are higher education instructors who are contracted on a term-by-term basis to teach an undergraduate or graduate course in face-to-face, hybrid, or online format. Course load not to exceed 17 semester hours per calendar year.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in a health-related field such as: Allied Health Science, Community
Health, Health Management, Public Health, Health Services Administration, Nursing, and Health
Management/Supervision is preferred or, a Bachelors certified Medical Assistant with 5 years experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the MSN/Certificate Trauma-awareness & Resilience program. Courses are taught online asynchronously.
• TRHS 541 Trauma, Restoration and Resilience in Healthcare Settings (3 SH)
• TRHS 561 Neurobiology of Trauma (3 SH)
• TRHS 571 Self-care and Resilience for Healthcare Providers (3 SH)
• TRHS 621 Trauma-Informed Strategies for Healthcare Providers (3 SH)
• TRHS 631 Research in Risk and Resilience (3 SH)
POSITION DETAILS: Faculty are contracted per semester hour loading for the semester in which they are employed at EMU.
