Job Description Summary
The Climbing Wall Manager serves as a member of the Penn Campus Recreation team and reports to the Director of Recreation Programs. They will be responsible for coordinating and managing all Climbing Wall activities and events, with an emphasis on offering more opportunities to University community members. The Climbing Wall Manager also recruits, hires, and trains student staff and manages Climbing Wall maintenance and repairs in partnership with the Facilities team.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develops and applies policies and procedures as they relate to the climbing facilities, including documentation of processes and protocols.
- Manages Climbing Wall rentals/teambuilding components
- Maintains all safety aspects of the climbing facilities
- Acts as liaison with internal departments and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalency and experience in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field. Supervisory experience and technical knowledge of climbing wall related activity, including instruction and program management and development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
