Positions Supervised: Direct supervision of the Learning Effectiveness and Early College Management team. Indirect supervision of related teams.

LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $113,268 - $138,438.30 per year

*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide leadership in the strategic engagement and alignment of the department in achieving the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the college. Provide leadership in product development, quality instructional and assessment practices, student success outcomes, and collaborative partnerships within the community. Serve as a member of the Learning Leadership Team, Deans Council, and Senior Leadership Team.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide inspirational leadership to the design, development, and implementation of equitable department policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives that support student success.
  • Provide expertise in policy/procedure development related to transfer, articulation, and dual credit.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and direction that utilizes innovation and creativity to maximize opportunities for improvement and growth for the department, division, and College and that align with strategic initiatives of the College and student success. Lead planning, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts to maximize operational efficiency and a state-of-the-art learning environment.
  • Assist Deans and Directors to use key performance measure data to make data-informed decisions regarding the management of their academic programs.
  • Cultivate an organizational/team climate, which engages staff to live NWTC’s values, develop, and accomplish the goals and objectives of the team action plan as it relates to the division and the College. Create an environment of open, honest dialogue that empowers staff to work independently.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, assuring implementation, monitoring progress, and facilitating change as needed. Utilize overarching metrics to ensure that division, productivity, and improvement goals are met. Advocate institutional culture of evidence-based decision making and improvement processes.
  • Foster an environment which values the diversity of ideas and people; attract and retain a culturally diverse workforce.
  • Manage the human resource needs of the department including the selection, retention, performance management, and development of employees, both direct and indirect reporting employees.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State, Federal, district, and college requirements. Administer all official curriculum information for the college and ensure the integrity of information and electronic systems that support course and program management.
  • Develop and manage strategic partner relationships with technology suppliers, business and industry, community organizations, and secondary and post-secondary educational institutions. Partner with post-secondary educational institutions to develop academic policies and programs.
  • Serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the Higher Learning Commission, maintaining an NWTC HLC cross-functional team.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of K12 and University partnerships to ensure attainment of strategic directions
  • Ensure program viability, assessment, and accreditation process through management of program development, quality improvement, and curriculum development processes. Manage the submission of all curriculum changes (including courses and programs) for approval by District, WTCS, and the Higher Learning Commission.
  • Provide leadership and facilitation for curriculum development processes; coordinate academic program review and oversee completion of relevant NWTC and WTCS documentation. Coordinate and monitor the academic program review process, student learning outcome assessment efforts and course quality assurance standards. Contribute to the creation of an affirming culture of assessment, focused on student success.
  • Manage the college's articulation and transfer processes, including coordination of articulated credit, development of articulation agreements and dual credit agreements, and development and implementation of procedures and policies for credit for prior learning and reverse transfer.
  • Support alternative learning delivery strategies and oversee innovations in instructional technology and distance delivery.
  • Collaborate with academic deans and associate deans to support the Teaching and Learning Center as a partner in ensuring student success and assessment of learning for the continuous improvement of instructional processes.
  • Participate in the Learning Leadership Team and Deans Council to provide input on academic policy and programs and other matters related to the College.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Master’s Degree required

Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience in Higher Education (teaching, curriculum development, facilitating faculty development/learning opportunities, experience working with K12 teachers/administrators in creating college pathways for K12 students and/or related experiences in a community/technical college) with a minimum of 2 years direct leadership experience.
