Job Description:

The University of Florida seeks to recruit a tenure track physician-scientist into the division of Pediatric Endocrinology. The ideal candidate will, upon starting the position be a board eligible/certified pediatric endocrinologist with a particular interest in translational research related to type 1 diabetes immunotherapeutics.

This position will have both a research and clinical assignment, with an expectation of obtaining grant funding to support protected research time.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or other equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics. Applicants must be and be Board Certified in General Pediatrics, and Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong record of teaching
  • Evidence of grant funded/fundable research effort
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
  • Previous research productivity in the area of T1D immunotherapeutics / antigen specific therapy
  • Previous experience with NOD mouse models
