The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Sociology with a focus on gender to begin Fall 2023.Other Responsibilities:
The standard teaching load is two courses per semester. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute, through their experience, research, teaching and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community, and who can demonstrate an ability to foster an inclusive environment and work with underrepresented students.
Standard responsibilities are 40% research, 40% teaching, and 20% service.Minimum Education and Experience:

- Ph.D. in Sociology or closely related field by time of employment.
- The ability to carry out an original research agenda in sociology with a focus on gender.
- A demonstrated commitment to teaching and student mentorship.
- Skills in theory and qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
- A strong record of research and publication with potential for securing extramural research funding.

- Priority will be given to candidates whose research complements existing program strengths.
