Description
The Department of Technology Solutions (DTS) of the University of Tennessee System Office is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of IT Software Developer IV. This position assists with the technical design, development, modification, testing, debugging and documentation of complex Microsoft Azure, .NET, and/or MS Power Platform software solutions. The successful candidate will also support purchased software, internally developed software, software modifications, and software interfaces/integrations that execute independently or as part of a larger information system.

This position is part of a team of developers responsible for the analysis and development/modification of assigned software components and the impact they have on each employee of The University of Tennessee. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Creates, modifies, and implements software on the Microsoft Azure, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft PowerApps, Salesforce CRM and the Oracle Cloud ERP platforms.Develops and performs test plans for software (custom developed, purchased, or enhanced purchased software) solutions of high complexity. Builds interfaces/integrations between various software packages and/or custom developed applications. Builds and incorporates Application Program Interfaces (APIs) as necessary to fulfill user requirements. Analyzes business processes and prioritizes user development requirements to achieve maximum efficiency in software for assigned projects. Performs complex problem analysis and debugging on software packages and/or custom developed applications.Accomplishes these development activities systems independently with a minimal level of supervision.


Qualifications
Qualifications:

Candidates must have Microsoft .NET development experience or experience supporting SaaS CRM/ERP software and/or developing interfaces and integrations. A college degree is preferred, but not required if one has certifications and/or formal training in Microsoft .Net, PowerApps, Power BI, or Microsoft data-related certifications, Oracle Cloud or Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI). Candidates must also possess strong communication skills.

 

Preference will be given to individuals who:

    have demonstrated skill in researching and analyzing complex problems and developing innovative solutionshave experience with configuration of SaaS ERP software have experience in the development of management reports
