Department Information The Department of Art, History, and Philosophy (DAHP) is a distinctive collective of faculty, staff, and students conducting outstanding creative investigations and scholarly works within the visual arts, culture and humanities. The faculty in DAHP bring extensive knowledge and talents to students in all majors, minors and certificate programs. History at UWG offers a BA in History a BA in History with a Major in History Secondary Education, an MA in History with five tracks (History Thesis Track), (Public History Thesis Track), (Public History Portfolio Track), (Generalist Non-Thesis Track), and the (Generalist Non-Thesis Portfolio Track). History also offers an Embedded Certificate in Public History, and Post-Baccalaureate Certificates in Museum Studies, or Public History, along with a History Minor, Minor in Asian Studies, anda Minor in Classical Studies. We seek part-time faculty colleagues to teach History-based university core classes, and limited other discipline related as part of our annual course offerings. Course offerings for part-time colleagues are as needed; however, we typically have courses/sections opportunities for part-time colleagues within each semester.Job Summary

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 18 hours of discipline specific courses work at the Master’s level.Candidates must provide references that outline support for teaching.
Preference to candidates who have completed a Master’s degree or terminal degree (MA or PhD) within a History program. Application materials and credentials should correlate with the specific areas of application.Preference to candidates who have documented experience in teaching history-based pedagogy.
