The Business Process Analyst will be a subject-matter expert in data mining and analysis, dashboard, and report creation dedicated to improving operational efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. The Analyst is expected to perform process analysis functions, find improvement opportunities, gather insights, and make recommendations that will result in risk reduction, increased cost savings, and customer satisfaction. The individual in this role will collaborate with the Senior Business Process Analyst, the Decision Support Director, and multiple teams within the Office of Research Administration to determine and craft appropriate data reporting and analysis needs. Work Performed
Map current business processes and resources associated with research administration to provide a foundation for defining business activities and improving business processes. Identify potential strategies that could optimize processes. Assist the team in implementing specific process improvements to achieve improved efficiencies. Participate in the maintenance of activities associated with research administration or support initiatives. Provide ad hoc data analytics upon request, including data extracts, Excel spreadsheets, and Tableau visualizations for the Office of Research Administration. Provide expertise and support for emerging business intelligence products/software to report and analyze the activities associated with Research Administration. Participate in developing and delivering training modules or tools supporting approved initiatives. Convene stakeholders and assist in facilitated discussions associated with business processes or resources. Document discussions and communicate with the team. Other duties as assigned.Education/Training Experience
Two years of relevant experience in data analytics and reporting (higher education experience Demonstrated experience with process mapping, evaluating inefficiencies and identifying creative and cost-effective alternatives. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Skills
