Baldwin Wallace University announces a national search for the newly created position of Dean of Students. The position will focus specifically on priorities associated with student wellbeing and conduct in fulfilling the institution’s renewed commitment to a student-centered culture. Having recently celebrated its 175^th anniversary, the institution has established the Dean of Students position as an integral part of its plan to reaffirm its focus on a campus culture that is focused on the holistic well-being of its students.

Baldwin Wallace University (BW) is an independent, comprehensive university located in Berea, Ohio, offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees, certificates, and professional education programs. Founded in 1845, Baldwin Wallace was one of the first colleges in the country to admit students without regard to race or gender – a spirit of inclusiveness that continues to distinguish the institution today.

The Dean of Students is a full-time administrative position reporting directly to the VP for Student Affairs. The newly created position focuses on the institution’s commitment to the ongoing development of a safe, healthy and supportive environment for students. It includes oversight and administration of student conduct policies, university wellbeing programming for students, and supervision of two division departments (Health and Counseling Centers). Responsibilities also include administration of (student) Title IX and Clery Act compliance.
