Responsibilities

Assists with coordination of large, complex program. Works on sensitive issues, priorities, protocol, etc.
    Coordinates and administers schedule and logistics for block weeks, off sites, and immersion weeks. Arrange hotel, food and beverage, and transport for block/off site and other cohort events.

Prepares correspondence and other written materials for department management, students and/or faculty requiring some specific knowledge of the subject matter. Edits and proofreads written materials for content consistency.
    Prepares student communications related to logistics schedule, student events. Prepares student newsletter/announcements. Communicates with vendors as needed.

Applies office software. Compiles and arrays spreadsheets using subject- matter knowledge of the material to ensure data results are consistent with the nature of the data.
    Analyzes expenditure and cost data. Reviews and verifies vendor invoices, other spending to maintain cost control.

Provides assistance to program team, students and faculty on procedures and practices.

Career development
    Work on special programs as assigned. Attend classes which will enhance expertise in job areas. Serve on departmental and campus-wide committees as appropriate. Participate in activities that enhance the campus community and/or larger community to further University service. Maintain knowledge of EMBA business processes to provide back up to other support staff in the unit.

Required Qualifications
    Thorough knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, and time management skills. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a high-performance environment. Meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as be an integral member of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Exemplifies Haas' four Defining Leadership Principles: (1) Question the status quo; (2) Confidence without attitude; (3) Students always; and (4) Beyond yourself. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in a business, organization or public university setting.

Preferred Qualifications
    Previous experience in higher education.

Salary & Benefits

This is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) non-exempt position. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience within the range of $25.65 (Step 1) - $36.74 (Step 17).

Other Information

This position is governed by the terms and conditions in the agreement for the Clerical & Allied Services Unit (CX) between the University of California and Teamsters Local 2010.
