Job Summary Job ID:243304 Position #: 20006154 The Department of Radiology at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University, AU, Georgia’s premier health sciences university, is recruiting a full-time Nuclear Medicine Physician. The candidate should be board certified in Nuclear Medicine/Radiology and preferably fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine. Academic rank is commensurate with training and experience. Responsibilities will include a combination of patient care and teaching of medical students and residents in a busy tertiary and quaternary care center. Academic time is provided and new research projects are encouraged.The nuclear division is equipped with two SPECT/CT gamma cameras, two SPECT gamma cameras (one cardiac-dedicated), cardiac treadmill stress, thyroid uptake probe, and PET/CT. The main campus, including AU Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, is also equipped with 2 IR rooms, three CT scanners (256 and 128), three MRI scanners (3T and 1.5 T), 3D mammography, and adult and pediatric fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and routine X–ray equipment. Our free-standing imaging center, AU Health Imaging, is equipped with 2 MRI scanners (3T and 1.5T), 1 CT, 3D mammography, Ultrasound and digital x-ray.
