Lecturer in Comparative Religious Ethics - Part TimeJuly 19, 2022

The Lake Forest College Religion Department has an opening for a part-time lecturer to teach one course in Comparative Religious Ethics scheduled for Fall 2022, Tuesday/Thursday 8:00-9:20 AM.

The course introduces students to the sources and patterns of moral reasoning within different religious traditions, both Western and non-Western, and includes such issues as the morality of war, nature of corporate ethics, treatment of the environment, bio-ethical decision-making, rights of animals within a society, and the responsibility of government to protect its constituents.

Most lecturers have earned a Ph.D. in religious studies, or are PhD candidates in religious studies. All must have teaching experience (with full responsibility for design, instruction and grading). The Religion Department seeks applicants committed to undergraduate teaching who can demonstrate success in their efforts to date.

Candidates should submit a curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation that addresses their teaching to Ben Zeller, Chair, Religion Department, zeller@lakeforest.edu. Finalists will submit an official graduate institution transcript.
