The Department of Modern Languages at Hartwick College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, term appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish starting in August 2022.

We seek candidates with expertise in language acquisition. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field by the time of the appointment. Specific teaching assignments will include beginning and intermediate Spanish courses. Teaching load will amount to 21 semester credit hours, including the College’s distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching and working closely with students in a small college environment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in person on Hartwick’s main campus in Oneonta, New York.

Athletics
Hartwick sponsors 18 intercollegiate teams, 8 for men and 10 for women. Hartwick sports compete at the NCAA Division III level.
