Job Description:

As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a highly talented and exceptional teacher and scholar to serve as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Fred S. Klipsch Educators College, this person will instruct candidates pursuing the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (MA-ABA) and Verified Course Sequence (VCS), as well as oversee program curriculum and accreditation. This position is eligible for tenure-track to qualifying candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services.
  • Teach graduate online courses in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Supervise adjunct instructors.
  • Advise students on degree and certification requirements and career options.
  • Complete accreditation and annual reporting requirements for the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
  • Oversee curriculum and course development to comply with ABAI requirements.
  • Serve on college and University committees as assigned.
  • If pursuing tenure, maintain an active research agenda that involves presentations, publications, and grant writing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • A terminal degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Applied Behavior Analysis experience.
  • Experience in graduate-level instruction.
