Position Summary

SDSU is on the path to becoming a border-adjacent premier research university where access and excellence converge. We are looking for a multimedia storyteller who can capture the spark behind our researchers' motivation to combat climate change, curb health disparities, engineer a solution for cleaner water, and so much more; who can profile our diverse student scholars; and who can craft compelling visual content that tells of the scientific discovery happening here and raises the profile of SDSU's existing $141 million research enterprise.

On a typical day, the Multimedia Production Specialist for Research might meet with a college communications officer to storyboard, film b-roll of a faculty member conducting research in her lab, and incorporate a collaborator's edits into a final draft of video highlighting with deep local impact.
