We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within the Electronics/Electrical Engineering program.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Graphics and Engineering Technologies, the Instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the college. The Instructor shall create an active learning environment that places learning at the center of the educational experience and enables students to demonstrate course competencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

1. Ability to develop relationships with the business community, area high schools, colleges and universities, Program Advisory Board, and work in a multi-cultural environment.

2. Ability to relate successfully with students, staff, faculty, and business people of diverse ethnic, cultural, social and education backgrounds.

3. Must demonstrate sound ethical standards and be a motivated self-starter who strives for efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.

4. Must be able to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and various public individuals and groups through oral and written correspondence.


Education and Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

2. Twenty-four months (4,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience as a fully qualified worker in the occupational area, of which 2,000 hours shall be within the previous five years. One year (2,000 hours) of related occupation experience may be waived if the occupational instructor has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the last five years.

3. Exposure to engineering software such as, Labview, Eagle, PSpice and Multisim.

4. Experience with electrical production such as, soldering, board design, and electronic assembly.

5. Proficient in MS Office Suite.

6. Knowledgeable with embedded systems and microcontrollers.

7. Eligibility for WCTC Credentialing System.

Hours
This position is Part Time (under 20 hrs./week) and teaches only when school is in session; Hours and times may vary depending on when courses are being taught.
