Advancement and Alumni Relations Coordinator

 

UTK College of Social Work

The University of Tennessee College of Social Work (CSW) invites applications and nominations for the position of Advancement and Alumni Relations Coordinator. Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement, the coordinator is responsible for expanding outreach to the College’s 8500 alumni and increasing annual giving by securing gifts at the leadership level of $1000 or more.



Qualifications
The Position

The Advancement and Alumni Relations Coordinator will cultivate and solicit alumni, friends, and other donors for gifts to the CSW College Fund, CSW Programs, scholarship funds, and other initiatives through personal visits, events, board activities, phone calls, email, social media and other means of communication.

The coordinator will Identify alumni, donors, and friends who qualify as major gift prospects and work with the Senior Director to secure major gifts. The coordinator will work with UT Foundation research staff to identify new prospects and develop strategy for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

The coordinator will steward donors to the CSW by email, phone, mail or other means of communication and serve as the liaison between the CSW and the University of Tennessee Foundation (UTFI) annual giving staff to ensure timely and accurate messaging.

The coordinator will also participate in planning and execution of all CSW events and activities to include Board of Visitors meetings, Executive Committee meetings, Alumni Council Meetings, alumni events, annual conference, tailgates, and skybox staffing.

The coordinator will communicate with College advancement staff and UTFI annual giving staff in the execution of the above responsibilities and attend monthly meetings with UTFI staff to receive updates and messaging related to campaigns, activities and programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Two years of experience in a related position in advancement, alumni affairs, sales or marketing

Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in the social services, healthcare, or education sectorsKnowledge of social work practice
