Job Summary:The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry-AddictionMedicine position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and BehavioralSciences and the National Center for Wellness and Recovery. This positionis actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. Additionally, clinical services will be provided in the OSU System Appropriateeffort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary aswell as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointmentat the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will work withexisting Addiction Medicine faculty and staff.Environmental Hazards:Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, bloodborne pathogens.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop,reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and performrepetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficientto carry out specific job functions of an Addiction Medicine physician.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:-Requires a D.O. or M.D. degree-Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma-Board certification by the AOA, ABMS or ABAM, or, boardeligibility-Devoted interest in education.

Computer skills are needed to operateelectronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are apositive. Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
