The UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in Music of Latin America: Mexico, Central America, and Caribbean Isles for Winter quarter of the 2022-23 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with teaching load.

Responsibilities will include individual student teaching supervision and assigned undergraduate ethnomusicology courses. Additional responsibilities may include advising credential candidates on preparing standardized assessment documents and other issues related to certification.

Applicants should have an established regional, national, and/or international reputation as a music educator with expertise and experience in the survey of traditional and contemporary musical culture of Latin America. A post-baccalaureate degree is required.
