Description
The Office of the Chancellor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time Administrative Associate. Reporting to the Assistant to the Chancellor, this position will greet guests, answer phones, maintain calendars, make meeting arrangements and prepare documents and other materials.



Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED plus 3 -5 years of experience in an administrative support position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including composing and editing correspondence, presentations, and reports.
  • Outstanding professionalism and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities and communication styles.
  • Ability to use sound judgement when making decisions, problem solving, and accessing information as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience using MS Office and related computer/software products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the position.
 

 

Preference will be given to individuals with experience working in an administrative support role at an institute of higher education. Knowledge of the University of Tennessee organization and functions is also preferred.
