Job Summary

Provides instruction to post-secondary students in assigned content area, both technical and general education and other related activities. Providing instruction to post-secondary students in assigned content area and developing related instructional materials (such as syllabus, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others). Instructors are also expected to maintain consistent Office Hours, and to attend in-service meetings each semester.

Typical Job Functions

  • Provides instruction to post-secondary students in assigned course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others
  • Maintains consistent Office Hours
  • Attends in-service meetings each semester
  • Participates in statewide, college-level, and program-level planning
  • Participates on committees or boards/Serves as an advisor with a student committee or board
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Prepare and deliver courses in Cybersecurity and Technology Department related to Microsoft, CompTIA, Cloud-Computing, Cybersecurity, IT, and Leadership
  • Serve as Lead program instructor
Minimum Qualifications

Ability and willingness to obtain:

  • Appropriate State of Idaho CTE certification
  • Related Baccalaureate degree and recent 2000 hours in industry OR
  • 6000 hours in industry area, have with 5 years OR
  • Associate degree in combination of above requirements
  • Microsoft certification
  • A+ Certifications
    • Significant industry experience
    Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • State CTE certification
  • Current certifications in:
  • Microsoft and/or MS Hybrid-cloud certification
  • Amazon AWS Associate Level certification
  • Cisco CCNA or Network+
  • Linux+
  • Security+
    • Significant industry experience
    • Previous teaching experience and eLearning technologies
    • Bi-Lingual (Spanish)

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
