Overview :

Anticipated full-time (non-tenure track) position. Duties include instruction of undergraduate mathematics up through third semester calculus, holding office hours, and possibly tutoring in the Mathematics Assistance Center.

Position Summary:

Anticipated full-time (non-tenure track) positions to begin August 16, 2022. Duties include instruction of undergraduate mathematics up through third semester calculus, holding office hours, and possibly tutoring in the Mathematics Assistance Center. The Department will strongly consider applicants who have an interest in transforming undergraduate programs to better serve students of diverse backgrounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

To teach 4 sections of Mathematical Sciences courses at the Math 101-229 level (3 – 4 credit hours per course but not to exceed 13 CUE’s) each semester, or other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

M.S. or M.A. in mathematics or its equivalent required at the time of appointment. Experience teaching first or second year college mathematics with demonstrated excellence thereof required.

Additional Requirements:

Preference will be given to applicants who have a record of supporting STEM and undergraduate education for a diverse student body.

Organization

Northern Illinois University is a comprehensive research university offering programs from the baccalaureate through the doctorate.
