Position Information: Compensation and AppointmentPosition: Post-Doctoral FellowRemuneration / Salary: $45,000+/year; commensurate with qualificationsBenefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver. This is a twelve (12) month, non-tenure track, special appointment with University of North Dakota School (UND) of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), Department of Biomedical Sciences.Job Summary and Responsibilities Dr. Takaku’s lab (https://und.edu/directory/motoki.takaku) is currently seeking a post-doctoral fellow candidate who has experience in bioinformatics or any other computational analysis as demonstrated by authored products such as peer-reviewed publications. A successful applicant will lead an NIH-sponsored project related to chromatin and gene regulation in cancer. She/he will have opportunities to learn advanced genomic methods such as ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN, and single-cell genomics. She/he is expected to write manuscripts and present at local and/or international meetings.Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. (or M.D.) in Genome Biology or any related area.Applicant must be qualified as demonstrated by at least one published first-author publication.Successful completion of a criminal history record check.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computational analysis and statisticsExperience in working with bioinformatics/genomics such as RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq, and ATAC-seqDemonstrated proficiency in scientific writing
