Provides coaching, encouragement, practical advice, and objective feedback to clients on the application of concepts, skills, or strategies associated with the practice of an academic or professional discipline.
Job Description
- Assist the Academic Advisor and offer necessary support within the advising center as needed
- Perform office tasks such as completing substitution/equivalency forms, major requirement graduation evaluations, developing spreadsheets, copying, filing, organizing data, answering phone calls, distributing information and running errands
- Maintain database and electronic signature log
- Greet students and maintain appointment and walk-in work-flow
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Task oriented, self-directed and able to keep confidential information
- Knowledge of computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet management, web-design knowledge preferred but not required
