Position Purpose:

To develop and manage procedures for ensuring compliance with domestic and international employment laws and institutional practices (for example, employment leave, payroll tax, and workers’ compensation requirements). To ensure compliance reflective of the changing dynamics of the workforce regarding remote and hybrid work.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

·Five years relevant work experience or the equivalent combination of education, experience, or training. Related work experience may include, but not limited to, research, policy interpretation and translation, analysis, and advising on compliance, employment laws, and/or risk assessment.
· Advanced problem-solving skills
· Ability to work under pressure of time constraints, work independently and manage competing priorities
· Demonstrated ability in interpersonal skills with all levels of administration and staff, showing confidentiality, tact and judgment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in a higher education or legal setting· Experience in a Compliance or Human Resources setting· Experience working in an organization with a remote work program· Experience in program administration· Compliance or Human Resources certification- Master’s degree or higher

  • Researches, develops, implements, and maintains procedures to ensure the institution’s awareness of federal, state, and international employment related compliance requirements. Partners with colleagues on issues related to workers’ compensation requirements, employee leave, payroll taxation and other employment-related matters to verify the impact of these requirements on Dartmouth’s policies and procedures.
