The purpose of the Director of Athletics Facilities Maintenance is to oversee and manage the daily maintenance of the facilities within the athletics department. - Oversight of day-to-day maintenance of athletics facilities
- Track budget with campus facilities management expenditures
- Coordinate ABS system
- Collaborates with others for the purpose of implementing and maintaining facility services
- Develops long and short-range maintenance plans/programs for the purpose of ensuring that university resources are effectively used(
- Directs projects (e.g. site repairs/construction, preventative maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget
- Inspects new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently
- Performs personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget
- Presents information for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internal controls
Job Location
Required Education: Bachelor Degree, AND:
- 36 months experience in facility management or project management.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and informationHighly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlinesAble to produce reports and complete work within deadlinesAble to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiativesAble to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, coaches, adminstrators and other staffAble to demonstrate ability to work well with a diverse group of clientsMust be able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectivelyAble to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations
- Vocational program degree or certificationForklift certification
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motions, communicate and drive
