The Assistant Director of Development and Corporate Fulfillment oversees the day-to-day operations of The Hatter Athletic Fund, focusing on donor services, stewardship, and strategic communication as it relates to the annual fund campaign. Maintains a portfolio of Athletics Annual Fund donors.


In addition, the Assistant Director of Development and Corporate will be responsible for coordination and execution of all donor hospitality and fundraising events for Stetson University Athletics development team. This position will be involved with the planning of all SU Athletics special events, game day hospitality areas, planning and execution of all donor events – including the Hall of Fame, alumni weekends, as well as the Hatter’s Golf Tournaments. The Annual Fund Coordinator will also manage customer service strategies for development, serving as the lead for all donor services. And will work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing/Corporate Sponsorships to ensure that all corporate sponsorship fulfillment needs are being met to the satisfaction of our partners.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations, assist in all Hatter Athletic Fund operations
  • Oversee stewardship planning for Annual Fund (Major Gifts & Planned Giving)
  • Run reports, prepare correspondence and track actions in database
  • Prepare and execute written communications and strategically-planned communication
  • Manage all donor and special events to include planning, invitations, staffing and implementation
  • Create and manage confidential reports, lists, and documents for donors, volunteers and staff
  • Collaborates with staff members to develop and execute programs in support of initiatives
  • Represent Hatter Athletic Fund at events
  • Develop and implement communication and recognition plans
  • Managing time and execution of all communications and coordinating donor lists, invitations and other communication
  • Design and distribute monthly newsletter to all Hatter Athletic Fund donors
  • Design and distribute annual Hatter Athletic Fund guide to all donors
  • Provides input into the budgeting process, and manages fund allocation
  • Manage portfolio of donors and prospects and identify, solicit, and cultivate benefactors for annual gifts for athletics
  • Develop new sources for fundraising and revenue
  • Work with Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations for managing activities, services and membership benefits
  • Objectives
  • Maintains and updates the Hatter Athletic Fund website, team donor pages, Special Donor Opportunities, along with Coordinate departmental activities as appropriate to advance the Hatter Athletic Fund fundraising and marketing Special Events and Facility Projects. Redesign and creation the Hatter Athletic Fund brochure as needed
  • This position with work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing/Sponsorships in developing inventory available for Sponsorship opportunities and meeting partnership fulfillment needs
  • Update and maintain Master inventory spreadsheet to provide accurate and up to date inventory that is available
  • Aids in creation of presentation material needed for purpose of securing new and existing corporate partners
  • Graphic design for both video and static signage at all Stetson athletic facilities
  • Works with vendors in creating and installing signage at Stetson athletic facilities
  • Works closely with corporate partners to ensure all needed materials are received and implemented to ensure all fulfillment needs are being met Includes monitoring the game promotions and event signage
  • Performs other site and position specific functions as assigned

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

Required Skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical and creative thinking abilities
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
  • Willingness and ability to engage in overnight travel and work weekends
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • College athletic annual fun experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research or business development
  • Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
