The Senior Development Assistant will work under minimal supervision on a broad array of critical projects and tasks. The Senior Development Assistant must be proactive, and the duties and tasks involved reflect substantial variety and complexity. This role applies skills and knowledge in multiple functions, but many responsibilities reflect a distinct Advancement component.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeAdministrative Support
- Provides primary administrative support for the Assistant Dean for Advancement and the Leeds Advancement leadership team. Support includes, but is not limited to, answering and directing phone calls, preparing routine and non-routine correspondence, document management, organizing staff meetings and team retreats, maintaining office equipment, resolving hardware and software issues with System Advancement IT team.
- Works closely with the Office of the Chancellor on scheduling donor meetings and correspondence.
- Makes travel arrangements, which may include detailed itineraries reflecting appointments with donors; schedules meetings and appointments and maintains calendars to ensure efficient time management.
- Assists staff with calendar management, expense reimbursement, and data entry relative to contacts and activities as needed.
- Prepares briefing papers for development officers and appropriate faculty members.
- Generates and refines downloads for reports and mailing labels as requested by development staff.
- Updates donor database with notes, strategic plans, contact reports, tasks, etc. to ensure most current and relevant information is available. Shares information with other team members.
Dean Administrative Team Liaison
- Serves as primary Advancement office liaison with Dean’s administrative team. Coordinates executive level calendars, correspondence, etc.
Other Duties as Assigned
- When Development Assistant is out of the office, Sr. Development Assistant processes donor checks and gifts, completes routing and tracking forms, generates appropriate acknowledgments and researches and resolves issues or discrepancies regarding donations, fund transfers, and new gift funds.
- Assists in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budget.
- Acts as liaison with the University regarding questions about Advancement-related work.
- Provides support for Advancement-related events including preparing invitations, RSVPs, parking, name tags, set-up, check-in, menu, and cleanup.

We anticipate this position will support a hybrid format (remote and in-person work).
What We Can Offer- The salary range is $54,000-$61,200 annually. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience.
