SIUE Dining Services is pleased to announce Open Recruitment/Testing for future Cashier positions for the FY23 year.

Cashiers for Dining Services provide fast and accurate reports of food purchases made from various dining stations in the food court area. These positions are responsible for proper money handling techniques of all payment transactions including cash, credit, Cougarbucks, and resident plans. As part of the department’s frontline staff, these positions work closely with both our student population and staff, and are expected to provide professional and courteous customer service to all guests. Applicants must be able to work successfully with diverse populations.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned in support of the department/university’s mission and goals. Food service positions may include layoff over academic breaks (winter holiday and spring break) and summer term. Dining Services positions are held on the Edwardsville campus only. Shift times/days of work will vary based upon assigned unit. These may be full or part-time positions. Please indicate on your application if you are open to part-time, full-time, or both.
