General SummaryThe Assistant Director for Leadership and Community Development is primarily responsible for:
- Advisement: Advising and providing oversight for advisement of Diversity Advocacy Organizations (DAOs)
- Leader development: Assessing group dynamics and leadership abilities, and providing situational direction, resources, and coaching tailored to the assessed priorities of each group/individual.
- Group development: Developing and implementing outcomes-based learning and team-building sessions for the collective DAO student leadership group.
- Programming: Supporting and overseeing the delivery and execution of DAO programs and services.
- Supervision: Supervising graduate assistants

c. Master’s or equivalent degree in College Student Personnel Administration, Social Work, Education, Counseling, Ethnic or Women and Gender Studies, or similar field. Master's degree must be conferred prior to start date.

Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, some weekend and evening hours
Functional ExpectationsMust be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

- Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
- Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
