Advancement Coordinator/SALT Program Coordinator

Job Details

Trinity Christian College seeks a full-time Advancement and SALT Program Coordinator.  The Advancement Coordinator has the responsibility of overseeing the administrative functions of the Advancement department. This individual will work closely with the Advancement and Alumni & Family Engagement division to ensure that event logistics, donor correspondence, and meeting documentation is properly completed. As a member of the Advancement Services division, the individual will assist in maintaining the integrity of advancement data regarding academics, employment, affiliations, involvement, relationships, and contact details; as well as providing support in the areas of gift processing and receipting.  The Advancement Coordinator will also serve as the SALT Program Coordinator. This position is charged with the development of courses; building, growing, and marketing an engaging program; management of membership rosters, and overall business management of this adult educational program for seasoned learners.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities with the Advancement Services department:

  • Research and update constituent data such as addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, employment information, marital status, parent/child relationships, etc. in Raiser’s Edge NXT
  • Process daily obituary notice emails, updating constituent records accordingly
  • Provide back up support in the area of gift processing and receipting
  • Record event participations, board/committee/team involvement, educational details, and communication responses for several constituency groups
  • Track new hires and terminations of college faculty and staff in Raiser’s Edge NXT on a monthly basis
  • Assist with special data projects as directed.

Responsibilities with the Advancement and Alumni & Family Engagement departments:

  • Perform general office duties including maintaining the office calendar, processing invoices, ordering office supplies, preparing meeting agendas, recording meeting minutes, managing phone calls, distributing office mail and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Assist in the logistical planning and implementation of Division campus-wide events including FallFest, scholarship and donor events, Alumni gatherings, and special occasions which may require some evening/weekend hours.
  • Assist gift officers with mail merges, spreadsheet manipulation, mailing preparations, etc.
  • Assist Vice President of Advancement as needed

Responsibilities as SALT Program Coordinator

  • in conjunction with the Advisory Board, creates a list of course offerings and instructors to teach/lead 1, 2, and 3 session courses
  • work closely with an Advisory Board
  • grow program participation and offerings
  • work with faculty on scheduling, course outline and details
  • work with the college marketing department on the development of marketing brochures, web page, social media postings and promotional materials
  • work with the print and mail center on the printing and mailing of materials
  • secure campus classroom space, AV, and other logistics required for classes
  • manage and maintain the SALT registration and membership benefits rosters
  • manage the budget ie: receipting of fees, processing payments, and tracking positive financial outcomes
  • participate and assist with courses as required
  • manage the Trinity Listeners Pass

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Experience working in office management or other support staff role
  • Fundamentals level certification in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, or similar CRM system, preferred
  • Great attention to detail required for event management and data input/review
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
