Job Description

Under close supervision, this supports the Student Business Services Office with regards to student accounts by providing exceptional customer service to students, families, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies processes and completes daily tasks to include but not limited to: end of day balancing; currency drawer reconciliation and updating student accounts with regards to placing and removing holds. Maintains a general understanding of 3rd party billing contract accounts and 3rd party collection efforts. Ensures accurate comments are notated on all student accounts to ensure appropriate historical documentation.

  • Supports the Student Business Services Office with regards to student accounts by providing exceptional customer service to students, families, faculty and staff. Responsibilities include providing a broad range of financial and general information through walk-in and phone consultation, identifying and prioritizing problems and issues related to the services area, maintaining a currency drawer with all applicable financial policies and procedures.

  • Maintains a general understanding of 3rd party billing contract accounts and 3rd party collection efforts. Assists with third party collections through the following: gathers and determines eligible student accounts that need to be submitted to a 3rd party agency for collection. This includes correspondence via email, phone calls and letters for internal collection efforts with the assistance of the Loans and Collections Coordinator.

  • Assists with processing of preparing the daily bank deposit and other Banner student financial functions as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma

  • One year of related experience in general office, bookkeeping, or personnel operations to include experience as a cashier, teller, or equivalent combination.
