Job Summary

Provide Tier III technology support and training to faculty, staff, and students for a variety of digital learning initiatives. Support digital learning initiatives at Georgia Tech including, but not limited to, production platforms utilized in massive scale online, blended, or flipped educational content delivery; pilots of emerging and novel academic capabilities; and post-pilot transfer of technologies to centralized or unit support. Implement new support solutions for academic applications and systems in partnership with clients and cloud providers in collaboration with other units across Georgia Tech. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, and unit and department staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty, staff, and unit and department staff. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide Tier III enabling technology expertise, support, and training to partner faculty, staff, and project teams from initiation to completion for a variety of digital learning initiatives, to include, but not limited to, production IT platforms for massive scale online educational content delivery and pilots of emerging and novel academic capabilities.

Job Duty 9 -
Provide tactical and strategic advice to project management and partner groups; Work closely with faculty and instructional staff on the design, development, and implementation of alternative or novel instructional delivery methods and technologies.

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duty 2 -
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide variety of highly complex platform problems and advanced technical issues.

Job Duty 3 -
Assist in the integration and management of the technical aspects of educational content delivery solutions, platform configurations, as well as add-on tools and capabilities.

Job Duty 4 -
Compare and contrast digital learning platforms used at Georgia Tech, either production or pilot, as well as broadly available alternatives.

Job Duty 5 -
Oversee documentation and definition of needs and requirements for digital learning usage in courses.

Job Duty 6 -
Design/create platform training, technology transfer, standardized configuration, documentation, and support for faculty; and, instructional, unit IT, and project staff.

Job Duty 7 -
Advise and oversee the development of standard procedures for technology use.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform requirements analysis, definition, design, development/modification implementation, integration, pilot, and maintenance activities for new and existing academic applications and platforms.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information or Educational Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requearninged for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree in Information or Educational Technology, (due to client shift schedules, project requearningements).

Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Preferred skills include web application and/or platform support OR educational technology solutions integration and delivery; Strong technical writing, documentation, and/or training; Knowledgeof XML or other markup language; Skills in large-scale scripting and automation of tasks

Master's Degree in Information/Educational Technology, Engineering

SKILLS
This job requires proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer technology and vendor issues; Skills in application development, integration administration, and service delivery, particularly Web, Digital Media, Educational Technology, or Cloud-based applications, services, and capabilities; Proven ability to plan, organize, and multitask in order to meet deadlines, and to coordinate the work of others; Excellent skills in service delivery, customer focus, and relationship management; Intermediate to advanced knowledge of office applications; Advanced knowledge of multiple operating system environments, including multiple web browsers and digital media production and playback tools; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to plan and execute communications and training, Excellent team and interpersonal skills in a matrix environment; Ability to foster teamwork within team and with partners; Highly responsive, positive, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to effectively coordinate and multi-task among competing priorities; Working knowledge of massive open online courses, online learning, and/or learning management system environments.
