Position Overview
This position provides planning, implementation, and support across multiple infrastructure technologies in use at the Fuqua School of Business and supported by the IT Infrastructure team. The Infrastructure team is responsible for all lifecycle stages of servers. The Senior Infrastructure Analyst is expected to provide leadership to other Fuqua IT staff in using industry best practices for the administration of servers and systems across operating systems. This is one of two positions specifically responsible for managing the lifecycle (technical design, deployment, administration, and support) of Linux servers, as well as providing occasional support for Windows servers.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a minimum of four years of systems administration experience in a 24x7 enterprise-level production environment in Linux.
• Linux experience may include the installation, configuration, and support of systems that run on the CentOS/RedHat Linux server platform such as 389 Directory Server (LDAP), LAMP and similar stacks, etc.
• Candidate must be ready to provide support in a mission critical, 24x7 system environment and participate in an on-call rotation that includes support for other infrastructure technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a peer leader to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• This position requires significant interface with both technical and non-technical staff, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Experience & Skills
Required:

• Four years of relevant system administration experience in a production environment, including installation, patching, upgrading and managing multiple systems in Linux.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with multiple platform-specific scripting tools, such as bash shell, Python, Ansible (yml), PowerShell.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills including ability to both lead and support technical projects and to constructively work with both IT and non-IT staff in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write and maintain appropriate technical documentation.

Preferred:

• Experience in Drupal and/or WordPress.
• Appropriate industry standard certifications.
• Container management (Docker).
• Knowledge of SMTP/mail protocols.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field or equivalent experience is required.
