Overview

Applications are being accepted for a full-time EWD Contract Specialist at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac Campus.  This position will coordinate the process for the delivery of contract training and workshops throughout the District. Travel and some irregular hours are required, to include evenings and weekends.

 

 

Beginning: August 2022

Responsibilities1. Serve as an internal contact for business and industry clients relating to contract training for designated portfolio of products throughout the District.  Identify needs for training, technical assistance and related services. Recommend appropriate College programs.2. Coordinate EWD customized training contracts with all instructional and operational units to ensure customer needs are met. Prepare and maintain schedules, classes, payroll records, participant and instructor materials, and contracts for customized instruction and technical assistance in accordance with District policies. Manage curriculum inventory and supplies.3. Finalize the service contract agreement and facilitate the contract delivery process including registration, availability of instructional materials, facility accommodations, evaluations, certificates and customer follow-up.4. Identify areas for continuous improvement, research possible solutions and provide recommendations for implementation.5. Establish and maintain contact with Economic and Workforce Development customized training customers to ensure education and training needs are met. Address and resolve customer issues and complaints and promote additional College services based on understanding customer needs. Track utilization of services and contract revenue and prepare reports. 6. Develop strong relationships with teams throughout the College to improve services, communication and the delivery of contract training.7. Support the writing, utilization and reconciliation of grants that support customized training initiatives. Ensure proper reporting and documentation in accordance with all required guidelines.  8. Manage curriculum inventory and supplies to support customized training projects.9. Maintain Economic and Workforce Development databases.10. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications1. Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. 2. Two years of related experience required to include experience coordinating events and projects.   3. Two years of experience working with customers, grants and/or contracts preferred. Experience in an educational setting preferred.4. Any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.6. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to understand and respond to the needs of business/industry clients, and integrate business needs with college policies.7. Willingness to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make decisions with minimal direction. Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects with routine assignments.8. Extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment.  Thorough knowledge of word processing and data processing (mainframe and microcomputer) equipment, software and procedures including Microsoft Office Suite.9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Strong conflict resolution skills. Portrays a positive demeanor at all times.10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply confidentiality rules/guidelines/laws.11. Ability to work collaboratively and collectively in a team-based quality environment.12. Willingness to be flexible in work schedule in order to meet the needs of the unit.13. Experience coordinating a high volume of projects simultaneously.14. Strong organizational skills with an ability to pay close attention to detail.15. Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.16. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
