Description of Position

Hiring Range: $35,600 to $46,114.00
Relocation reimbursement for up to $3,000

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will report to the Director of Athletics and maintain all records and reports, injury records, physician notes, treatment logs, drug testing, etc. In addition, they will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in injury recognition, treatment rehabilitation, and conditioning of student-athletes while maintaining and monitoring athletic training rooms, games and practices, and inventory of supplies.

- Communication and interaction with all YC coaches, Head Athletic Trainer, YC athletes, and the team physician
- Assist with evaluation of injuries
- Assist with treating and rehabilitating injuries
- Providing information to athletes for the prevention of injuries
- Assisting with documentation of injury evaluation/treatment
- Monitoring equipment and facility maintenance
- Travel as needed with intercollegiate teams
-Support with the logistics, promotion, and hosting, including attending and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders for the fundraising initiatives of the department
-Assist with coordination and operation of camps that contribute to raising funds for the program every year
- Participates in activities that contribute to the overall understanding of the athleticprogram/department- Other duties as assigned Minimum Expectations & Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited program in sports medicine, kinesiology, or closely related field and
- CPR certification required
- Certification by NATABOC (National Athletic Trainers' Association)
- State licensed Health Care Professional (Athletic Trainer)
- Knowledge of: physical conditioning, rehabilitation, and modality techniques; recruitment and athletic programs
- State of Arizona Class D Drivers license
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Preferred Skills & Abilities

- Experience working in a collegiate athletic program
- Familiarity of the NJCAA
- Work experience in higher education/college environment
