The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. The IT Division may allow up to 40% telework per week, dependent upon the employee’s location, particular job duties, experience, skills, and proven success initially working on campus.Minimum Qualifications:
The Endpoint Management Specialist is part of the Endpoint Management team within Applications and Systems. The primary duties are to provide direction, use, and implementation of Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, create application packages, and provide users with a stable, secure endpoint. You will act as software and technical expert, consultant, and trainer to clients as well as IT Division staff. You will collaborate with similar focused positions at other sister UNC institutions that use these tools. You will regularly participate in decisions and implementations that help drive the direction of Endpoint Management and campus-wide initiatives. You will coordinate and collaborate between the different IT functional areas, such as Data Center Services, Networking, and Instructional Technology and Desktop Services (ITDS) to maintain and manage endpoint devices and respond to the changing needs for security of these devices. Also, you will work on projects and be part of a team that responds to audit needs in the Endpoint Management area.The IT Division invests heavily in professional development and you will be trained in WCU’s endpoint environment, and its’ overall administration. In support of that, the successful candidate will need to show a proven ability to learn modern technology and processes.

Graduation from a two-year college with a major in an Information Technology field and two years’ experience in a “hands on” technology-based information technology role; or graduation from a four-year college or university and one-year of experience in a “hands on” technology-based information technology role.Preferred Qualifications:
JAMF/Casper, SCCM, Workspace One, VMware Horizon, vSphere, VMware experience, and certifications. Working in endpoint management or a related IT function.Position Type:
