Job Details
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has an opportunity for a Program Associate, Scholarship Operations who will be responsible for scholarship awards determination, awards administration, payment administration, and some programmatic aspects of the Foundation’s scholarship and loan programs. Primary responsibilities include determining scholarship award and payment amounts for each scholarship recipient and contacting financial aid offices at recipients’ institutions as needed to confirm award and payment information; negotiating as necessary with financial aid officers at Scholars’ institutions to maximize Foundation resources; and corresponding with colleges and scholarship recipients regarding award and payment amounts. Additional duties include scheduling and processing scholarship payments and forgivable loan repayments; ensuring that the Scholar database has accurate and current scholarship and loan data; and providing administrative support for documenting scholarship payments.
Candidates must have a minimum of an associate’s degree, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2-5 five years relevant work experience in finance, higher education financial aid, processing grant payments, or related experience.
