Position Summary:

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Human Resource Department seeks an HR Coordinator to join our team! The successful candidate for this role will enjoy fast-paced, high-volume responsibilities with a desire to provide excellent service through each interaction. They are equipped with a high level of reliability, creativity, and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to dive into service delivery, expand knowledge of HR processes, and obtain experience in a non-profit organization.

Please note: This position can work a hybrid schedule, so proximity to the Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or Anaheim is preferred. The on campus schedule is negotiable and will be based on business needs.

Principle Duties:

  • Monthly completion of The Chicago School’s Organizational Chart using Visio

  • Assist the Office of the President with the birthday and anniversary reports

  • Responsible for HR vendor management and reconciliation of the departments purchasing and travel cards

  • Work with the HR Director on completion of salary surveys and accreditation reports

  • Coordinate the Adjunct and Student Worker hiring and onboarding processes.

    • Process position requisitions

    • Audit background checks

    • Coordinate scheduling and audit completion of Form I-9

    • Process applicants to hire

    • Audit onboarding completion of new adjunct and student workers

    • Communicate with departments and candidates throughout process

    • Manage information requests and troubleshoot issues

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to coordinate and prioritize service requests

  • Assists with various research projects and/or special projects

  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills

  • Ability to handle complex inquiries and interact in a calm and supportive manner with diverse and culturally diverse group of faculty, staff, and students

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a member of a team, seek consultation when necessary

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments and meet deadlines

  • Commitment to confidentiality

  • Establish priorities, and work in an organized manner with emphasis on detail and accuracy

Position Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required, Bachelors degree preferred

  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred

  • Experience in Human Resources preferred

  • Knowledge/skills with the Microsoft Office required, with experience working in Excel, Word and Visio

  • Experience with Workday preferred
