With access to state-of-the-art equipment and surrounding resources, our students are well prepared to meet the latest challenges in groundbreaking research after graduating from the university, thus making a significant impact and contribution to society.Job Description The Kansas City Missouri site of the UMKC School of Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Office Support Assistant IV known for their problem-solving skills and ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships as work closely with and support faculty of the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as pharmacy students. Qualified candidates will have a strong sense of follow through and work ethic, and impeccable customer service skills to assist the Chair in maintaining a thriving, dynamic research and educational environment. Must be adaptable and flexible in an environment that is growing and changing daily. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Gather, organize and summarize information requested under the direction of the Divisional Chair, in order to provide supervisor, faculty or staff accurate data/information necessary for meetings/conferences using research techniques.
  • Assisting Chair in scheduling and regular activities within the Division.
  • Input, revise, store and retrieve correspondence, charts, tables on word processing/personal computer equipment using machine formatting/utility capabilities and source documents in order to record/update/produce copy of correspondence, etc.
  • Greet/provide information and assistance to office visitors (faculty, staff) in order to provide service/support to visitors using own knowledge of office policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties to assist the Chair and Division.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and
  • At least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an academic environment
Full Time/Part Time

Full time (40 hours per week), fully benefit-eligible from date of hire, staff position.
