Position Description:
Under the general guidance of the directors of various academic programs at UCLA School of Law, the Program Coordinator will serve as an integral staff member to each of the academic units they represent. An ideal candidate is highly professional, advances work autonomously and with initiative, can work effectively with people at all levels in the organization from board members to students, has excellent communication and record keeping skills and is looking to build a long term career in the department.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the logistics and execution of a variety of programming including event planning, logistics and representation, as well as liaising with the Communications Manager to publicize and disseminate events. Events include conferences, lunch time talks, and speaker series, both in person, hybrid and online. The incumbent also has primary responsibility for tracking the Institute's expenditure and maintaining an overview of the budget. S/he is responsible for paying vendors and requesting reimbursements on cooperation with the Business and Finance Office and maintain up to date records of expenditures to keep the Executive Director appraised of the current financial situation. The incumbent further works closely with the directors to provide daily operational support on the full range of the Institute's activities and should possess a mastery of Microsoft Office Suite technology especially Excel spreadsheets.

In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
