Responsible for inputting and updating departmental course offerings through Student Central; Schedule of Classes and Course Catalog, as well as Ad Astra-Room Assignment. Responsible for entering the textbooks and instructional materials both required or recommended for use in each course section. Responsible for processing drop/add and mandatory first day attendance course changes. This includes regular courses, DIS, special topics, etc. Serves as back-up to Human Development & Family Science in registering students for classes and building classes.

Process offer letters and appointments for Nutrition & Integrative Physiology graduate assistants, OPS, and courtesy appointments. Ensures the department is compliant with HR departmental and university policies and procedures. Works with international students via the Center for Global Engagement to facilitate visa applications.

Serve as the department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology travel representative. Responsible for handling all internal auxiliary billing for the department. Responsible for all Purchasing Card orders for the department. Serve as a back-up processor for purchase orders.

Answer main department phone line and assist students and faculty as needed. Responsible for daily mail distribution. Responsible for accepting and logging packages upon arrival and for notifying students and faculty in a timely manner. Reports repairs to Facilities as needed. Responsible for annual department inventory and surplus activities.

Responsible for taking minutes at departmental faculty meetings. Responsible for requesting keys/security card swipe access.


High School diploma or equivalency and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications and basic computer functions

A detail-oriented individual who likes working with a department that is very research oriented. Someone who is organized, is a problem-solver and who can work well under pressure. Self-management of time, good communication skills, and the ability to organize your tasks and meet deadlines is required. Committed to service excellence. Works independently but can also work as a team player when needed.
