Job Description:

The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for all admissions-related events across the MBA Programs entire portfolio. He/she will collaborate with the director, team, and other key stakeholders to develop a year-round calendar for recruitment and admitted student events and manage the strategy, planning, execution, staffing, and communication of the events. When appropriate, he/she will work with Marketing and Communication Services to promote events via social media. Additionally, the Associate Director leads and presents at recruiting events including off-site information sessions, corporate education fairs, MBA fairs, open houses, alumni events, MBA Forums, MBA Career Fairs, ROMBA, MBA Veterans, Prospanica, National Black MBA, World MBA tour, etc. He/she must display charisma, leadership, strong communication, tactical selling skills, and demonstrates proven success as an influential presenter or educator to large groups. He/she deigns and deploys online information sessions via WebEx, Zoom, or similar technology.

In addition to collaborating with the Admissions Team to recruit high-quality applications for the entire portfolio of programs, the Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for all aspects of Full-Time MBA Admissions. He/she oversees the design and implementation of an inclusive Full-Time MBA Recruitment plan. Establishes the direction, goals, implementation of strategies and policies for the Full-Time MBA Program. The Associate Director manages the lead generation, pipeline management, prospect outreach, recruitment, and decision-making process for the Full-Time MBA. He/she collaborates with campus partners to develop and maintain combination degrees in collaboration with the Academic Affairs team. Additionally, the Associate Director reviews all Full-Time MBA applications and initial screening of Full-Time MBA applicants. He/she conducts interviews and participates and manages the Full-Time Admissions Committee which determines offers of admissions. The incumbent in this role presents weekly reports regarding class composition, deposit tracking and numerical averages tied to strength of class to the committee. He/she manages and executes the awarding of $1 million scholarship budget. The Associate Director communicates efficiently and effectively to all candidates regarding rationale for final committee decision on their admission. He/she is responsible for collaborating and completing student orientation presentations.

The Associate Director of Admissions manages special projects and oversees strategic initiatives that enhance the Admissions Teams processes, applicant and admitted student experience, and on- and off- campus partnerships. The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for the identification, development, and roll-out of technical enhancements that enhance the Admissions Teams processes. He/she will collaborate, as needed, to create technology-based tools, reports and other resources that streamline processes and enhance the end-user experience. Additionally, he/she will serve as the liaison with The Graduate School, UF Admissions, Warrington IT, and others, to understand the various stages of the applicant and newly admitted student lifecycle and ensure streamline integration between UF Slate, Warrington Salesforce, Campus Solutions, and other systems, and develop ongoing process to ensure no lapse in communication. He/she will utilize relationships with students and alumni to collect feedback on their admissions experience and develop enhancements. The Associate Director develops strategy for campus outreach partnerships and utilizes relationships with students and alumni to enhance corporate partnerships and to schedule opportunities for information sessions within key organizations. He/she also works with Marketing & Communication Services to identify opportunities for stories that promote UF MBA and performs outreach to participants.

The Associate Director of Admissions directs efforts and directly supervises full-time staff members and oversees the Admissions Ambassadors. He/she sets performance standards, accountability, and conducts annual performance reviews (for professional staff). The Associate Director oversees the annual training of Admissions Ambassadors and ensures a high-level of understanding of admission requirements and current student resources.

The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, and oversight of yield for newly admitted MBA students for the Full-Time programs and assist in providing guidance on equivalent efforts for the Professional MBA programs. He/she will collaborate with the Student Affairs and Business Career Services Teams to create a streamlined communication plan that engages newly admitted students about important action items and program details and guide them toward their arrival at orientation for the start of the program.

The Associate Director of Admissions assists with execution of Orientation and Networking events. Additional responsibilities may include participating in meetings/events composed of alumni and industry professionals, meetings with alumni and current students and attending Professional Development conferences/seminars to remain current on industry trends, student attitudes, and MBA program innovations. Other duties, projects, deliverables, or reports assigned from the Director of Admissions and UF MBA Program Administration.

Expected Salary:

$78,000 - $85,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.

Must have a valid FL driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong oral presentation skills and poise

-High levels of energy, motivation, and organization

-Ability to strategize, plan, execute, and manage events

-Understanding and experience of Slate, Salesforce, and Peoplesoft Campus Solutions

-Professional presence to support relationship building with all key MBA Program, Warrington College of Business and industry stakeholders

-Experience working in academic administration and previous collaboration with academic personnel

-An MBA or master’s degree with at least three to five years of direct experience in recruiting or sales and proven relationship selling skills with a strong knowledge base of MBA curriculum and general business
