The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor - Colorado Springs position. 

Nature of Work

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy & Immunology, is seeking a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to provide oversight and medical management of children with allergic and immunologic diseases in an outpatient settings in Colorado Springs.

Provide oversight and care of patients with asthma, food allergy, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis, drug allergy, animal dander sensitivity, insect sting allergy, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylaxis, eosinophilic GI disease and immunodeficiencies in an outpatient settings at Briargate.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $168,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications  

    Successful completion of a pediatric residency and an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship.Recognized as Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.State of Colorado Medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before the hire date.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in the evaluation and management of patients with food allergyExperience with clinical research and patient management of emerging food allergy immunotherapies is preferredExperience in the evaluation and management of patients with eosinophilic GI disease is also preferredExperience in prescribing and administering subcutaneous allergen immunotherapyExperience in teaching medical students and residents
