Job Description

Tulane Doctors Neurosciences practice location at Tulane Medical Center, in New Orleans, LA is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner. This position is a faculty-level position, and benefits are commensurate.

Clinical responsibilities will include participation in the care of neurological/neurosurgical patients in the inpatient setting primarily focused at Tulane Medical Center. Call will be expected. Candidate will be expected to actively participate in administrative activity including institutional and departmental committees, active participation in departmental conferences such as Neurology Grand Rounds, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, and faculty meetings.

Tulane seeks a provider who cares for patients under the direction of Tulane neurology physicians in compliance with standards of practice and regulations of government agencies. Clinical responsibilities include participation in the care of neurology patients, primarily in the inpatient setting, with some outpatient responsibilities. Tulane Doctors are responsible for providing outstanding service while maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal Nurse Practitioner is energetic, flexible, has a positive attitude, and, above all else, has a passion for patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills

Master of Science in nursing. Certified adult or family nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority. Work experience with patients in a hospital/clinic setting is essential.

Required -  State of Louisiana License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association

Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
